Due to the Coronavirus lockdown, we have made the decision to push the nomination deadline to the end of July.

Now, the deadline to nominate your chosen journalists for the Ethnic Media Awards is now the end of July 31st.

Nominations for the inaugural Ethnic Media Awards will be open from 1st March until 1st June 2020. To be considered for the awards the nominee must work within the United Kingdom and the entry must have been first broadcast or published by a British based media company, broadcaster or Internet platform.

You can nominate yourself, any of your employees, or freelancers in the media industry, for any award. Some nominees may be suitable for multiple categories – the judges will ensure that each entrant is considered for all appropriate awards. Proof of the nominee’s latest published or broadcasted work, from within the last 18 months, should be submitted via the nomination form. (Via WeTransfer)

A shortlist will be produced by our expert judging panel, comprised of experienced industry professionals. Winners will be announced at the prestigious EMA ceremony in September. The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
